Hello -
I'm Deborah.
Etsenake by birth. Omolewa by marriage. Edmonton by choice.

I build digital products by day - frontend work at SCALED, mostly React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, currently shipping a restaurant operations platform called José. By night and weekend, I run a quiet brand identity practice, mostly for faith communities and small founders.
I'm Urhobo by birth, from Delta State, Nigeria. I married into a Yoruba family - my husband Joshua is the reason I'll one day legally answer to Omolewa. Edmonton has been home since I came to Canada for my Master's.
My design starts in restraint - minimal palettes, deliberate type, room to breathe. I've been designing for over five years, beginning with materials for my church, and have been compounding ever since: a CalArts specialization, freelance brand work, and the conviction that good design carries meaning beyond decoration.
Frontend
React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind. I build for José at SCALED - an AI-powered restaurant operations platform. Strict TS, accessible markup, and component systems that scale.
Brand identity
Visual systems for small ventures and faith communities. Recent work: Project Lazarus (scripture-rooted merch), and Ilé Àdúrà (a Christian retreat guesthouse rooted in Yoruba heritage).
Ministry & community
Graphics, admin, and youth coordination at Jubilee Youth Church. Events coordinator for The Torchbearers intercession ministry. Founder of the Beauty and Brains Movement.
